Chris Moore, CEO, Nordic Laboratories & DNALIFE
Thirty years ago, as healthcare remained fixated on the "a pill for every ill" philosophy, a small group of global pioneers envisioned a radical shift toward personalized health. Their approach, initially known as Functional Medicine and now often termed Longevity Medicine or "Biohacking," was founded on understanding unique human biology and preventing disease before manifestation. In 1997, standing on the shoulders of these visionaries, Chris Moore and Anne Catherine Færgemann established Nordic Group, headquartered in Denmark.
From its inception, Nordic Group evolved rapidly under Chris's strategic leadership. Between 1997 and 2005, he established three cornerstone enterprises: Nordic Laboratories, Nordic Health, and Nordic Clinic. A pivotal expansion came in 2012 when Chris partnered with molecular biologist Dr. Danny Meyersfeld PhD to launch DNALIFE, a genetic laboratory division. With a team of esteemed scientists, DNALIFE is committed to continual research and development, producing breakthrough tests enabling people to understand even more about their unique biology, and thus lifestyle benefits and impediments. Chris is convinced that health optimization cannot be achieved without understanding our genetic structure.
Underpinning all the companies is a game-changing innovation spearheaded by Chris in 2006: the world's first digital ordering system for laboratory tests and supplements. This pioneering platform now supports tens of thousands of clinicians globally, cementing Nordic Group's position as a technological leader in functional medicine.
Beyond his core ventures, Chris actively invests in transformative health technologies. His portfolio includes Thermocheck, revolutionizing non-invasive breast health screening; Disruptive, advancing subdermal health monitoring chips; and Resistomap, leading the charge in combating antibiotic resistance - what he considers humanity's greatest health threat. Through bold innovation and precise execution, Nordic Group has grown to a valuation exceeding $100 million, with significant growth potential ahead.
A compelling international speaker and passionate advocate, Chris began promoting "health ownership" in his lectures from the early 2010s, emphasizing patient participation in their wellness journey. Today, he champions the development of "longitudinal health data," combining wearable technology with laboratory analysis to build comprehensive health profiles that enhance resilience and prevent disease, rather than simply seeking cures after illness appears. As an experienced biohacker himself, he continuously explores and tests cutting-edge strategies for optimizing cellular health, using his own genetic and biochemical data to demonstrate the transformative potential of personalized healthcare.
Chris' commitment to transforming healthcare takes him across the globe, supporting doctors in their mission to revolutionize patient care. He lives in Copenhagen; has two adult sons; is an avid reader; and relaxes by watching soccer or spending time in his hyperbaric chamber!
