LaVar Ball has reportedly undergone surgery to amputate his right foot after suffering what was described as a "serious medical issue."
A photo of LaVar showing his right foot amputated just above the ankle has been making its rounds online after it was published by TMZ. The outlet was the first to report on the matter.
It was not revealed what medical emergency the Ball patriarch has suffered and Biohack Yourself could not independently verify the authenticity of the photo. The Ball family has yet to comment on the report.
LaVar is best known as the outspoken dad to NBA players LaMelo and Lonzo and rapper LiAngelo. The family starred in their own digital reality series, "Ball in the Family," and have their own clothing and sneaker brand, Big Baller Brand (BBB).
The 57-year-old personality and entrepreneur has made headlines for his bold proclamations about his sons, including that he knew eldest Lonzo would be a Los Angeles Laker as early as when he was a baby.
In 2017, LaVar had a public feud with President Donald Trump after his son LiAngelo was arrested in China for alleged shoplifting. The former UCLA player was later released with the charges dropped after Trump had a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The dad, however, said he believes Trump didn't play a role in the release.
In 2020, LaVar reignited the feud after claiming Trump would have won the 2020 elections if he supported his campaign.
"If he would’ve never act a fool, he’d still be president," LaVar said in the BroBible podcast. "I would’ve been there with him, I would've helped him out."
Before being the CEO of his own brand, LaVar was also an athlete himself., playing in the practice squads of the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers in the NFL, Fox News noted.
