Music legend Sir Elton John can't see out of his right eye due to a severe infection he contracted in July.
In an interview with "Good Morning America" on Monday, the 77-year-old icon confirmed that he has been blind in one eye for over four months after contracting an infection in France.
"I lost my eyesight in my right eye ... and my left eye is not the greatest," John told ABC News’ Robin Roberts.
He did not reveal what type of infection caused the partial blindness.
The "Rocketman" artist was in the middle of preparing for his new album when he had to put it on pause due to his condition.
"It kind of floored me. I can’t see anything. I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything," he shared, adding that at this point, his health is his priority.
It was in September when John revealed his eyesight problem. In a post on social media, he admitted that it has been an "extremely slow process" to get his sight back on the impacted eye.
Despite his health struggles, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer remains optimistic and believes he is still blessed.
